CONTEMPORARY & MODERN FINISHES

Sometimes, especially with more modern pieces, the old damaged/perished finish may need to be completely removed and the piece completely refinished. Perhaps for where a tougher more durable finish is required, one of the more modern finishes or laquers may be whats needed and these finishes need to be applied by spray gun.

SPRAYING LACQUERS

There are many modern lacquers available today, in different sheens and hardness and durability levels. These finishes need to be applied by spray gun which is a more advanced finishing technique which needs a certain amount of skill and experience.

OIL FINISHES

Modern oil finishes are heat and water resistant and quite tough. They also have the advantage of being relatively simple to repair at a later date if needed.

PAINTED FINISHES

Painted finishes are increasingly popular today, understandable as its a great way to update a rather ordinary or lacklustre piece,and can encompass a variety of styles from shabby chic and distressed looks to something a little more uniform & subdued to really bold striking colours and effects… There is plenty of inspiration out there and I am always happy to discuss painting commissions on your own pieces aswell.
